The itinerary

Day 01

Drive from Nairobi to Kitale

Drive from your hotel in Nairobi in the morning towards Kitale town (470 km, 7-8 hours).

Dinner and overnight in Kitale.

Day 02

Chorlim Gate to Mitamaiyo Campsite

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Chorlim Gate and check in.
Start walking to the first camp at Mitamaiyo Campsite (5 hours). Lunch will be en route, followed by dinner at the camp.

Day 03

Koitobos Camp and Summit of Koitobos Peak

Leave the camp early in the morning for Koitobos Camp and arrive in time for lunch.
After lunch, leave the camp for the summit of Koitobos Peak (13,852 ft).
Later in the evening, descend to Koitobos Campsite for dinner.

Day 04

Descend to Endebess Bluff Campsite

After an early breakfast, descend to Endebess Campsite. The journey passes through dense bamboo forest and a canopy of olive Olea Hochstetteri and Aningueria Adolfi-Freidericii wet montane forest.

Day 05

Endebess Bluff to Kitale via Caves

Leave Endebess Bluff after breakfast and proceed towards Chorlim Gate via Kitum Cave and Makigeny Cave.
After checking out, drive to Kitale town.
