The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Maun and Camel Ride

  • Upon arrival at Maun Airport, your guide will be waiting for you with a board bearing your name. He will meet and greet you and transfer you to the lodge.
  • Embark on a camel ride in the afternoon.
  • Stay overnight at the lodge and have breakfast there.

Day 02

Maun to Nxamasere and Okavango Delta Camping

  • After an early breakfast at sunrise, your guide will pick you up for a road transfer to the delta, where you will spend 2 nights camping on an island deep in the Okavango Delta.
  • Expect to have lunch by the roadside halfway before you reach the camp. You will be driving through small towns and villages where you can meet local people.
  • Camp on the island for 2 nights and indulge in various activities.

Day 03

Full Day in Nxamasere

  • Spend a full day in the Okavango Delta and have breakfast and lunch at camp. Your local guide will give a detailed briefing on the day's activities, what you need to take for walking, and safety procedures.
  • Explore the serene waters of the Okavango Delta, recognized as being among the quietest and most peaceful in the delta.
  • Spend your days and evenings taking in the breathtaking scenery and soaking up the peace and tranquility.

Day 04

Nxamaseri to Tsodilo Hills

  • After an early breakfast, depart from the camp and embark on the road to explore Tsodilo Hills, home to more than 4,000 Bushman paintings - probably the most important collection of rock art in Africa.
  • Enjoy rock climbing in the afternoon with the local guide.
  • Spend the night at a private exclusive campsite.

Day 05

Tsodilo to Mahango Park

  • The journey takes us to another country, Namibia, where we will cross the border and will be expected to show our passports for formalities.
  • Early in the morning after breakfast, we will head northeast, driving through small villages towards the border.
  • After crossing, we will drive in Mahango Park and expect game sightings.

Day 06

Mahango Exploration

  • Early in the morning after breakfast, we will embark on a morning game drive and in the afternoon explore the narrower waterways and islands.
  • The area offers diverse habitats that are home to the animal kingdom, from big cats to buffalo, antelope, aardvark, and water antelopes.

Day 07

Mahango to Bwabwata Kwando Core Area

  • The journey takes you to another region of Bwabwata in the Kwando region, where you will be spending 2 nights at a camp.
  • After breakfast, enjoy a road transfer on a tarred road with a 3-hour drive. Expect to have lunch by the roadside before reaching the camp. The Bwabwata area lies within the Kavango region and Kongola along the Kwando River.
  • Experience the rich birdlife of Bwabwata and unrivalled views of the meandering waterways from the game drives in this pristine wilderness, where wildlife viewing is just as spectacular.

Day 08

Bwabwata Wilderness and Elephant Country

  • Spend another day camping and explore the surrounding wilderness on game drives during the day.
  • Bwabwata protects around a third of the entire region's ecosystem - some 5,000 square kilometers.
  • From here, venture into the heart of big elephant action.

Day 09

Bwabwata Kwando to Chobe River

  • Have an early breakfast and start the road transfer to cross back into Botswana through the Ngoma border, where we will be expected to present our passports for Namibia and Botswana.
  • Expect lunch before camp after crossing into Botswana.
  • Enjoy a game drive along the Chobe River towards the campsite.

Day 10

Exploring the Chobe River

  • Enjoy an early breakfast and embark on game drives and a game-viewing boating trip exploring the mighty Chobe River, a memorable activity that makes it the perfect end to an exciting safari.

Day 11

Exploring Chobe National Park

  • Explore Chobe National Park and spend the morning and afternoon on game drives, witnessing the prolific wildlife that frequents the region.
  • The Chobe River attracts a high diversity of animals, lots of predator action, and sightings of rarer species including sable antelope, roan antelopes, and serval.

Day 12

Chobe to Livingstone

  • Early in the morning, break up camp and get ready for the road transfer to Livingstone, Zambia, where we will present our passports to cross through Kazungula.
  • Our trip will come to an end on the Botswana side. Expect to have lunch by the roadside before reaching Livingstone in Zambia.
