5-Day Trekking and Wildlife Tour in Torres del Paine with Puma Search

• Welcome to Patagonia. Our team will meet you at the airport or bus terminal and take you by private transfer to Puerto Natales, a charming town on the shores of the Última Esperanza fjord.
• Check in at your accommodation. Please arrive before 18:00 for an important welcome meeting, where your guide will brief you on the excursions and advise you on the necessary equipment. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the town and share your first dinner with your fellow travellers.

• Depart early from Puerto Natales and transfer to Hotel Grey to check in for the navigation.
• Then head to the pier, where you will walk along the lake's beach until you reach the boat. The boat trip lasts approximately 3 hours.
• During the journey, you will see impressive blue icebergs floating on the lake and feel the characteristic Patagonian wind. Upon arrival at Grey Glacier, you will be able to appreciate the beauty and magnitude of its ice walls up close.
• After sailing, disembark on the lake's beach, have lunch, and then trek in the surrounding area to enjoy the Patagonian landscapes. Afterwards, transport will take you back to your base camp for the night.

• Depart early in search of the 'Lion of the Andes', the magnificent Patagonian Puma. You will be accompanied by an expert guide and experienced trekkers who know the local people and their habits, helping you in the search for the puma. The opportunities to capture spectacular images during this puma photographic expedition are unique.
• The best time to observe them is at dawn, as pumas are shy and nocturnal, and during the day they sleep camouflaged in bushes and grassy steppe. At night, it is difficult to take photos, so dawn is the ideal time for a photo shoot. It will be a long day, as you leave early in the morning and return to camp at dusk, making the most of this feline sighting opportunity.
• You will walk along the Aonikenk Trail, which connects Laguna Amarga with Lake Sarmiento over 8.6 km. This area has the highest density of pumas in Torres del Paine National Park and can only be visited with a guide.
• You will also explore other sectors in search of the fabulous fauna that Torres del Paine National Park has to offer, such as guanacos, foxes, rheas, and various birds and mammals to photograph.

It is important to note that puma sightings are not guaranteed during this excursion.

• The trekking excursion to the base of the Torres in Torres del Paine is an exciting experience full of natural beauty. Starting from base camp, you will head to the Laguna Amarga sector to begin this adventure.
• As you climb, you will encounter the Asencio Valley and Paso de Los Vientos, from where you will enjoy spectacular panoramic views.
• Continue ascending until you reach Refugio Chileno, where you will take a break to rest and recharge. You will then cross the lenga forest, immersed in the natural beauty of the area.
• Finally, you will arrive at Las Torres viewpoint, where you will witness the majesty of these three iconic rock formations. Here, you will be able to take pictures, admire the scenery, and enjoy a well-deserved rest while appreciating the grandeur of the surrounding nature.
• After spending some time at the base of the towers, begin the descent back to Puerto Natales to finish your adventure in Torres del Paine.
