Morning- Pick up From Arusha
- 7:00 AM - Your adventure begins with a prompt pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a brief introduction to your guide and fellow travellers, you will set off on a scenic drive towards Tarangire National Park, passing through picturesque villages and farmland.
- 9:00 AM—Upon arrival, your guide will handle the park entry fees while you enjoy the stunning views of the park’s landscapes and vibrant atmosphere.
- 9:30 AM - Begin your morning game drive through Tarangire, famous for its impressive population of elephants, often seen wandering among the iconic baobab trees. Keep your eyes peeled for other wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species.
Midday - Picnic Lunch
- 12:30 PM - Stop at a designated picnic site for a packed lunch. Relax and enjoy the stunning views of the park while replenishing your energy for the afternoon activities.
Afternoon - Game drive and Visit Tarangire River
- 1:30 PM—Afternoon Game Drive: After lunch, continue your afternoon game drive, exploring different regions of Tarangire. Depending on the season, you may witness the park's incredible wildlife migrations. Tarangire is known for its diverse ecosystems, including swamps and open grasslands, which provide ample opportunities to see a variety of animals.
- 3:30 PM - Visit the Tarangire River: Head towards the Tarangire River, where many animals come to drink. This area is especially active in the dry season, offering excellent chances to spot elephants, lions, and many bird species.
Late Afternoon - Return to Arusha

Park Location: Tarangire National Park is approximately a two-hour drive from Arusha. Be prepared for an early start to maximize your time in the park.

Weather: The park can be hot during the day but cooler in the mornings and evenings. Dress in layers to adapt to changing temperatures. The best wildlife viewing is typically during the dry season (June to October).

Wildlife: Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds and diverse wildlife, including lions, giraffes, and a wide variety of birds. While many animals can be seen year-round, some species are more active in specific seasons.

Park Etiquette: Always remain inside the safari vehicle unless instructed otherwise by your guide. Keep noise to a minimum and do not feed or approach the wildlife to ensure their safety and yours.
