Itinerary

Morning - Pick up from Hotel
- 7:00 AM - Pickup from Arusha Hotel: Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha early in the morning. After a brief introduction, you will embark on a scenic two-hour drive to Lake Manyara National Park, passing through the bustling towns and lush agricultural regions on the way.
- 9:00 AM - Arrival at Lake Manyara National Park: Upon arrival, your guide will handle the entry formalities. At the same time, you stretch your legs and take in the stunning views of the surrounding landscapes, including the Rift Valley escarpment and the shimmering soda lake.
- 9:30 AM - Game Drive: Begin your morning game drive through the diverse habitats of Lake Manyara. The park is known for its dense forests, open grasslands, and wetlands. Keep an eye out for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and zebras. Birdwatchers will be delighted by the abundance of bird species, especially around the lake, where flamingos and pelicans can often be spotted.
Midday - Picnic Lunch

Afternoon - Game Drive and Visit Hippo Pool
- 1:30 PM - Afternoon Game Drive: After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive. Look for the park’s famous tree-climbing lions and other predators like leopards. The acacia woodlands provide the perfect setting for spotting these elusive cats. As you explore further, you may also encounter troops of baboons, vervet monkeys, and various antelope species.
- 3:00 PM - Visit Hippo Pool: Head to the Hippo Pool, a popular spot to see these massive animals cooling off in the water. The pool is also great for observing birds and enjoying the park's tranquillity.
Late Afternoon - Return To Arusha
- 4:00 PM—Return to Arusha: After a fulfilling day of game drives and wildlife encounters, it is time to head back to Arusha. Your guide will drive you back, and you are expected to arrive around 6:00 PM.
- 6:00 PM - Drop-off at Hotel: You will be dropped off at your hotel in Arusha, concluding the day trip.
