The itinerary

Day 01

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

You will be picked up from the airport or your hotel in Nairobi.
You will begin your Amboseli safari with a visit to Amboseli National Park, an ecological reserve tucked right under the skirts of Mt. Kilimanjaro, arriving in time for lunch.
After lunch, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive before dinner, and overnight will be spent at a lodge or camp.

Day 02

Full-Day Game Drives in Amboseli

You will have an early morning game drive, after which you will return to the camp or lodge for breakfast.
After breakfast, you will continue with your game drive to enjoy a myriad of biodiversity.
Later, you will have a break for recreation at the camp or lodge and lunch, then return for an evening game drive.
After the game drive, you will go back to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 03

Morning Game Drive and Return to Nairobi

You will have an early morning game drive during which, if luck is on your side, you could witness a hunt or a kill. In the vicinity of the swamps, you will also see a variety of birds and animals.
After the game drive, you will depart for Nairobi with lunch en route.
You will arrive in Nairobi in the evening for your scheduled flight back home.

End of the trip.

Know before you go

The best time to travel to Amboseli National Park for a Kenya safari is during the dry season from June to October. The dry season is characterized by thin grass cover, offering easy sighting of the wildlife. The animals are also easily seen congregating at waterholes to drink water. That is not to say that you should not visit the park during the other seasons.
