Itinerary

Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha City
- Welcome to Tanzania!
- Upon arrival at Arusha or KIA Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our guide, who will assist with your transfer to the hotel in Arusha for an overnight stay, ensuring a memorable start to your experience in Tanzania.

Day 2: Arusha to Gombe National Park
- After an early breakfast, you will fly from Arusha to Kigoma, where a driver will take you on a boat ride across Lake Tanganyika to Gombe Stream National Park.
You will stay overnight at Mbali Mbali Gombe Lodge, with the following day dedicated to chimpanzee exploration.

Day 3: Gombe National Park
- After breakfast, you will embark on wildlife viewing and chimpanzee tracking in Gombe Stream National Park, climbing to James Peak.
- After lunch at the camp, you will relax for the afternoon before dinner and an overnight stay at Mbali Mbali Gombe Lodge

Day 4: Gombe to Mahale Mountains National Park
- The next day, you will head to Mahale Mountains National Park for more chimpanzee encounters.
- After breakfast, enjoy a 2.5-hour drive followed by a boat ride from Gombe to Mahale. This larger park, home to around 900 wild chimpanzees, has no roads, so you'll hike with experienced guides to search for chimpanzee groups. Once located, you will have ample time to observe them, creating a magical experience.
You will have dinner and stay overnight at Mbali Mbali Mahale Lodge.

Day 5: Mahale Mountains National Park to Arusha
- After your time with the chimpanzees, you will begin your journey back to Kigoma, which takes about eight hours by boat and car.
- Later, you will fly from Kigoma to Arusha/KIA Airport for your return flight home. If you are considering extending your holiday, there are plenty of attractions to explore in Tanzania, including Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and beautiful islands like Zanzibar, Pemba, or Mafia!
