Itinerary

1. Tarangire National Park Adventure

   • 6:00 AM – Pickup from Arusha
     • Your driver-guide will pick you up early from your hotel in Arusha, ready to embark on an exciting day.
     • Enjoy scenic views of Tanzania’s countryside as you travel in a comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle.
   • 8:30 AM – Arrival at Tarangire National Park
     • Arrive at Tarangire National Park's entrance, where you will begin your game drive. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds and towering baobab trees.
     • Look for wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, and various antelope species gathering along the Tarangire River.
   • 9:00 AM – Morning Game Drive
     • Start your morning game drive through the park's diverse landscapes, from open plains to dense woodlands.
     • Your guide will highlight the flora and fauna, including bird species like the colourful lilac-breasted roller and the giant ostrich.
   • 12:30 PM – Picnic Lunch at a Designated Spot
     • Pause your adventure to enjoy a packed picnic lunch at one of the designated picnic spots within the park.
     • Relax under the shade of an acacia tree while surrounded by the sounds of nature.
     • The Tarangire River often provides opportunities to spot wildlife as they come to drink.
   • 1:30 PM – Afternoon Game Drive
     • Continue your game drive after lunch, venturing deeper into the park to explore different ecosystems and discover more wildlife. This is a great time to spot predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas, often seen lounging under trees or stalking their prey.
   • 3:30 PM – Depart Tarangire National Park
     • As the afternoon progresses, it is time to start your journey back to Arusha. On your way out, take in the last glimpses of the park's stunning landscapes.
   • 6:00 PM – Return to Arusha
     • Arrive in Arusha early in the evening with wonderful memories of your day at Tarangire National Park. Your driver will drop you off at your hotel, marking the end of a rewarding day trip.
