The itinerary

1

Day 01

Maumere or Ende to Moni Village

• Pick up from your hotel or directly from the airport in Ende or Maumere, East Flores Island, then head to Moni Village. Stop at several beautiful places along the way before arriving in Moni Village. Check in at your accommodation in Moni Village, Ende Regency.

Day 02

Kelimutu Sunrise and Drive to Riung

• Early in the morning, drive for 1 hour to Kelimutu Volcano. From the parking area, walk for about 35 minutes to the summit in Kelimutu National Park. Kelimutu means "the boiling lake." Each lake has its own colour and local name, and all are believed to be the resting place of departed souls. The Kelimutu lakes are unpredictable, and nobody knows when they will change. Sometimes the colours are blue, green, and black, and at other times they turn white, red, and blue.
• After spending time at the summit of Kelimutu National Park, walk back to the parking area. Then drive back to your hotel for breakfast.
• Head to Ende and make some stops along the way.
• Stop at Panggajawa Beach, the Blue Stone Beach, for lunch. Your lunch will be prepared while you wait.
• You can go swimming or relax on the beach.
• Continue driving to Riung Sub-District on the northern coast of Flores Island, Indonesia.
• In the afternoon, arrive in Riung and check in at your chosen accommodation.

Day 03

Riung Snorkelling Excursion and So'a Hot Springs

• Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to the harbour to catch a local motorized wooden boat for a snorkelling and beach trip.
• The boat returns to the harbour, and then drive to So'a Hot Springs.
• Drive to Bajawa Town and stay overnight in Bajawa.

Day 04

Bajawa, Bena Village, and Rana Mese Lake to Ruteng

• Breakfast at the hotel, then head to the traditional Bena Village.
• After visiting Bena, drive to Aimere Sub-District in Ngada Regency. In Aimere Village, local people traditionally produce a local alcoholic drink made from palm sugar or palm juice.
• Continue to Ruteng Town in Manggarai Regency, with several stops along the way. One of them is Rana Mese Lake, a natural crater lake in the middle of a rainforest.
• Check in at your chosen accommodation in Ruteng.

Day 05

Ruteng Pu'u Village and Cancar to Labuan Bajo

• After breakfast, drive to the traditional village of Ruteng Pu'u of the Manggarai tribe.
• Head to Cancar Village and the Spider Web Rice Field to enjoy the spectacular view of round rice fields that look like giant spider webs.
• Drive to Labuan Bajo.
• Along the way, stop at several places to take pictures before arriving in Labuan Bajo. You will then be dropped off at your chosen accommodation in Labuan Bajo.
