Day Trip in Materuni Waterfalls and Coffee Tour
- 7:30 AM: Pickup from your location in Arusha or Moshi.
- 8:00 AM: Depart for Materuni Village, located at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. The drive will take about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- 9:00 AM: Arrival at Materuni Village. Meet your local guide for a warm welcome and briefing about the day's activities.
- 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Coffee Plantation Tour
- Begin your tour with a visit to a local coffee plantation. Learn about the traditional coffee-making process from bean to cup.
- Participate in grinding, roasting, and brewing your own fresh cup of coffee, all while enjoying the breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro.
- Enjoy a cup of locally brewed coffee with the locals and experience Chagga culture.
- 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Materuni Waterfall Hike
- Embark on a scenic hike to Materuni Waterfalls, a 1-hour trek through lush green landscapes and banana plantations.
- Upon arrival at the falls, enjoy the majestic 80-meter-high waterfall and relax by the pool beneath it. You can also take a refreshing dip if you’re up for it!
- 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Picnic Lunch
- Enjoy a packed picnic lunch near the waterfalls or back in the village.
- Local dishes or snacks can be arranged, providing a taste of traditional Tanzanian cuisine.
- 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Cultural Experience (Optional)
- Return to Materuni Village for an optional cultural activity. Participate in a traditional dance or learn more about the Chagga tribe's way of life.
- 3:30 PM: Return journey to Moshi.
- 5:00 PM: Check-in at Maridadi Hotel
- After returning from your adventure, check in at Maridadi Hotel in Moshi. Spend the rest of the evening relaxing and enjoying the hotel's serene atmosphere.
- 7:00 PM: Dinner at the hotel or explore local restaurants in Moshi town.
- Enjoy your night at Maridadi Hotel after a fulfilling day of nature, coffee, and cultural exploration.
