- Steeped in legend, history, art, and romance, Sighișoara is a captivating place. Its architecture beautifully blends Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles. As the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, also known as Dracula, and the oldest continuously inhabited medieval fortress in Central and Southeastern Europe, Sighișoara has earned global recognition. Since 1999, its fortress has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
- We'll stroll through the winding cobblestone streets and admire the vibrant, beautifully preserved houses. Your guide will share fascinating stories and show you the key landmarks, including the Clock Tower, the house where Vlad the Impaler was born, the Covered Staircase leading to the Gothic Church on the Hill, and the most picturesque cemetery in Transylvania.
- Around 3:00 PM, we'll continue our journey to visit the Saxon village of Viscri, one of the most famous villages in Romania, particularly after King Charles III purchased a house there and expressed his love for this charming place.
- In Viscri, we'll walk along its rustic streets, admire the beautifully preserved Saxon houses, and climb the hill to visit the iconic white fortified church that gives the village its name, Viscri, meaning "White Church."
