Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arusha - Lake Eyasi - Hadzabe Tribe Visit

   • Start your adventure by driving from Arusha to Lake Eyasi, where you will meet the Hadzabe, one of Tanzania's last hunter-gatherer tribes.
   • Immerse yourself in their unique way of life, learning about their hunting techniques, gathering traditions, and ancient practices passed down through generations.
   • Engage in a hunting experience with the tribe, observing their use of traditional bows and arrows to catch game.
   • Explore the stunning landscapes around the lake, palm-lined shores and views of the Great Rift Valley.
   • After the cultural exchange, enjoy a peaceful sunset at the lake’s edge before retreating to a nearby lodge for dinner and overnight.

2. Day 2: Maasai Village Experience

   • Drive to a Maasai village, where you will be welcomed by one of Africa's most iconic tribes.
   • Spend the day immersed in their vibrant culture, learning about their customs, rituals, and the intricate art of Maasai beadwork.
   • Participate in traditional dances, visit a boma (traditional Maasai homestead), and hear stories about their nomadic lifestyle. The Maasai warriors will demonstrate their cattle herding skills and traditional ceremonies.
   • After lunch, enjoy the sweeping views of the savannah and absorb the simplicity of life in the Maasai plains.
   • Return to your lodge for an overnight stay.

3. Day 3: Cultural Heritage Site, Maasai Market & Arusha City Exploration

   • Spend the morning visiting the Cultural Heritage Centre in Arusha, home to a stunning collection of African art and historical artifacts.
   • Marvel at Tanzania’s rich cultural diversity, from traditional crafts to ancient relics.
   • Later, head to the vibrant Maasai Market to explore local crafts, jewellery, and textiles. Interact with local artisans and shop for souvenirs.
   • In the afternoon, embark on a guided tour of Arusha City. Visit landmarks like the Clock Tower, markets, and cafes and gain insight into the city’s colonial history and contemporary lifestyle.
   • Return to your lodge for the evening.

4. Day 4: Materuni Waterfalls & Coffee Tour

   • On your final day, journey to Materuni Village, located at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro.
   • Embark on a scenic hike through lush greenery to reach the magnificent Materuni Waterfalls.
   • Admire the towering cascade, where you can relax and swim in the refreshing pool.
   • Afterwards, visit a local coffee plantation for an interactive coffee-making tour. Learn about the cultivation, harvesting, and roasting processes, and enjoy a cup of freshly brewed organic coffee.
   • Savour the tranquil atmosphere of the village before your transfer back to Arusha for departure.
