Depending on their location, you will spend around 3 hours trekking to find the gorillas and have one hour to observe, photograph, and study their behaviour in their natural habitat.

The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Kigali and Hotel Transfer

Upon arrival in Rwanda, you will be met by our professional guide at Kigali International Airport.
You will be transferred to a luxury hotel in Kigali, where you will receive a pre-briefing about the tour.

Day 02

Akagera National Park Game Drive

Early in the morning, you will depart from the hotel at 5:00 a.m. for a drive of approximately 3 hours to reach Akagera National Park.
Upon arrival at the park reception around 8:00 a.m., you will receive a briefing.
You will spend 6 hours exploring the park, seeking out the Big Five and other wildlife in the savanna. Enjoy sightings of various plant species, birds, and aquatic animals.
Afterwards, return to Kigali for an overnight stay.

Day 03

Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

You will depart from the hotel at 5:00 a.m. for a 2.5-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park.
Upon arrival, you will attend a briefing at 7:00 a.m.
Depending on their location, you will spend around 3 hours trekking to find the gorillas and have one hour to observe, photograph, and study their behaviour in their natural habitat.
After the trek, head to a luxury lodge within the park for lunch and spend the night there.

Day 04

Return to Kigali and City Tour

After breakfast, you will leave the lodge at 9:00 a.m. for a 2.5-hour drive back to Kigali.
Enjoy lunch in Kigali and spend the afternoon on a city tour.
Check into another luxury hotel to rest and prepare for your flight home.
