Itinerary
-
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
- After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park.
- Enjoy a full day of game driving in the park, which boasts nine vegetation zones and diverse landscapes. Ancient Baobab trees, the largest in Africa, tower over the park. At the same time, the Tarangire River attracts a wealth of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and various colourful birds. The park is renowned for its significant elephant population, and you can observe many elephant families interacting.
- Take a break for a picnic lunch at an observatory within the park. You might witness animals drinking from the river or lions hunting for prey.
- Continue game viewing and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
-
Day 2: Karatu to Lake Natron
- After breakfast, load the camping equipment into the jeep and drive directly to Lake Natron, an approximately two-hour journey.
- Upon arrival, enjoy a hot lunch prepared by your cook.
- After lunch, you can visit the lake or explore the nearby waterfall, arranging details with your local guide.
- In the late afternoon, return to camp for dinner and overnight.
-
Day 3: Lake Natron to Serengeti National Park
- Today, embark on a game drive in northern Serengeti, searching for the remaining Big Five and other wildlife. Serengeti National Park spans nearly 15,000 square kilometres and hosts seasonal migrations yearly.

- Enjoy an afternoon and evening game drive, experiencing wildlife from sunrise to sundown.
- Return to camp late in the afternoon for overnight.
-
Day 4: Serengeti National Park
- After breakfast, spend a full day in Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The park, meaning "endless plains" in Kiswahili, covers 6,900 square miles (18,000 square kilometres) and is home to over 2 million large animals, including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson's gazelles.
- Optional: Consider a balloon safari over the Serengeti plains for a unique perspective.
-
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
- After an early breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater.
- Upon arrival, descend 600 meters to the crater floor. The crater is a self-contained ecosystem with a range of wildlife, including the Big 5 (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo).
