Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arusha to Shira Camp (3,600 meters)

   • Drive to the Park Gate and begin the trek to Shira Camp, passing through lush rainforest and heather zones.
   • Acclimatize to the higher altitude and enjoy a leisurely evening at the campsite.

2. Day 2: Shira Camp to Shira Plateau (3,840 meters)

   • Hike to the Shira Plateau, a vast volcanic plain with stunning views of Kilimanjaro's peaks.
   • Explore the Lava Towers and enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to Shira Camp.

3. Day 3: Shira Plateau to Lava Tower Camp (4,600 meters)

   • Ascend to Lava Tower Camp, passing through alpine deserts and rocky terrain.
   • Acclimatize to the higher altitude and rest for the night.

4. Day 4: Lava Tower Camp to Barranco Camp (3,900 meters)

   • Descend to Barranco Camp, passing through the Great Barranco Valley and enjoying views of the Western Breach.

5. Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (4,000 meters)

   • Ascend to Karanga Camp, passing through alpine deserts and enjoying vistas of the surrounding peaks.

6. Day 6: Karanga Camp to Summit (5,895 meters) and Descent to Mweka Camp (3,100 meters)

   • Embark on the final ascent to Uhuru Peak, the summit of Kilimanjaro.
   • Experience the breathtaking views and descend to Mweka Camp for the night.

7. Day 7: Mweka Camp to Arusha

   • Descend to the Park Gate and return to Arusha to celebrate your successful summit climb.
