Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arusha to Londorossi Gate (1,875 meters)

   • Transfer to Londorossi Gate and begin your trek through the rainforest.
   • Enjoy the lush vegetation and encounter various bird species.
   • Arrive at your campsite for the night.

2. Day 2: Londorossi to Shira Camp (3,600 meters)

   • Continue through the rainforest and ascend to the Shira Plateau.
   • Admire the expansive views of the Shira volcanic cone.
   • Set up camp at Shira Camp.

3. Day 3: Shira Camp to Lava Tower (4,600 meters)

   • Traverse the Shira Plateau and ascend to Lava Tower.
   • Enjoy panoramic views of the Western Breach and Kibo Peak.
   • Camp at Lava Tower.

4. Day 4: Lava Tower to Barranco Camp (3,900 meters)

   • Descend to Barranco Valley and pass through the Barranco Wall.
   • Experience the unique geological formations and stunning scenery.
   • Camp at Barranco Camp.

5. Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (4,000 meters)

   • Ascend to Karanga Camp, passing through the Karanga Valley.
   • Enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.
   • Camp at Karanga Camp.

6. Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (4,673 meters)

   • Make a final push to Barafu Camp, passing through the Great Barranco Valley.
   • Prepare for the summit attempt and rest at Barafu Camp.

7. Day 7: Summit Attempt (5,895 meters) and Descent to Mchele Camp (3,100 meters)

   • Begin your summit attempt at midnight, reaching the summit of Uhuru Peak at dawn.
   • Descend to Mchele Camp, celebrating your achievement.

8. Day 8: Mchele Camp to Arusha

   • Descend to the park gate and transfer back to Arusha.
