Itinerary
-
Explore Giza Pyramid, Sakkara & Memphis
- Start your day early and meet your guide at your hotel. Drive to the Giza Pyramids, where you will see the three main pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. Your guide will explain the history and significance of these ancient wonders. You can also go inside one of the pyramids for an additional fee, but be prepared for a narrow and steep climb.
- Next, head to the Panoramic Point, where you can enjoy a stunning view of the pyramids and the desert landscape. This is a great spot for taking photos and admiring the scenery. You can also opt for a camel ride or a quad bike adventure for some extra fun.
- After that, visit the Great Sphinx, the mythical creature with a lion’s body and a human’s head. The Sphinx is one of the oldest and largest statues in the world, and it guards the entrance to the pyramids. Take a selfie with the Sphinx and marvel at its mysterious expression.
- Free time for Lunch & Shopping: Egypt has ancient wonders, rich culture, and diverse beauty. It is also a paradise for shoppers who want to bring home some of the world's finest and most unique products. Whether your tastes run to real Egyptian cotton, traditional oils and perfumes, gold and silver jewellery, papyrus art, or carpets, your shopper will ensure your souvenirs create the perfect memory of your time in Egypt.
- Then, drive to Saqqara, the ancient necropolis of Memphis, where you will see the oldest stone structure in the world, the Step Pyramid of King Djoser. Learn about the history and significance of this pyramid, designed by the genius architect Imhotep. After that, explore some of the tombs of the nobles and high officials who served the pharaohs. Admire colourful wall paintings and reliefs that depict scenes from their daily life, religious rituals, and afterlife beliefs.
- End your tour with Memphis, the first capital city of Egypt. Visit the open-air museum that displays some of the remains of this ancient city. See the colossal statue of King Ramses II, one of the greatest rulers of Egypt, and the alabaster sphinx of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the few female pharaohs. You can also see other statues, stelae, and fragments from different periods of Egyptian history.
- Finally, go back to your hotel.
