Arusha National Park Safari
- Start your adventure early in the morning by driving to Arusha National Park, just 30 kilometres from Arusha town. This diverse park offers a rich blend of landscapes, from the lush greenery of the Ngurdoto Crater to the tranquil beauty of Momella Lakes, famous for its flocks of flamingos. Begin with a scenic game drive through the park, where you will spot giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and various antelope species.
- Next, explore the misty montane forest at the base of Mount Meru, looking for colobus monkeys and playful blue monkeys.
- Afterwards, head to the Momella Lakes for birdwatching, where you can see a variety of bird species, including pelicans, cormorants, and flamingos.
- If you are feeling adventurous, opt for a guided walking safari to experience the wildlife up close. The park is one of the few in Tanzania that allows walking tours.
- End the day with a picnic lunch at one of the park’s scenic spots, surrounded by breathtaking views of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro.
