Itinerary
-
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
- After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and drive you to Tarangire National Park for a game drive and picnic lunch. The park is named for the Tarangire River that crosses through it. It is well known for its big herds of elephants, huge baobab trees, and high numbers of predators. There is a plethora to see and explore here.
-
Day 2: Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park
- After an early morning breakfast, you will stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint (before the main gate) to marvel at the crater's beauty on your way to Serengeti National Park.
- Arrive at Serengeti in the afternoon, the perfect time for the guided game drive. Our guide will lead you to have your lunch in the park.
- During the afternoon game drive in Seronera or the central part of Serengeti, you can view wild animals close up until the sun sets, when you head to the Seronera campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
-
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
- After an early breakfast, you will depart for the most famous national park in the world, the Serengeti. Although the drive itself is long, it is spectacular. Anyone seeing it for the first time will have an unforgettable moment.
- As you progress well into the Serengeti, you will see why the name means, in local language, "endless plains". The park has 6,900 sq miles (18,000 sq km); for most of it, the plains will stretch to the horizon, defying your senses and perception of distances. It is the home of the Great Migration and to 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras and all kinds of antelopes.
- As for big cats and large predators, it's the place to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Many television scenes, like the famous river crossings, have been filmed in this park.
-
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
- After breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive and a picnic lunch.
- In the afternoon, we will drive back to Arusha, where the safari ends. The Ngorongoro Crater is a must-see while on safari in Tanzania for its high density of wild animals. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a project where the Maasai and their livestock live with wild animals.
