Itinerary
-
Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
- Our wildlife adventure will begin with a brief tour briefing in Arusha before heading southwest toward Serengeti National Park, our leading game-viewing destination. We will have a picnic lunch during a game drive and then check in at the campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
- Serengeti National Park is famous for its diverse wildlife, especially the Big Five —lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinoceroses. The park is believed to have the largest population of lions in Africa, with over 3,000 living in the ecosystem. The African leopard, although elusive, is commonly spotted in the Seronera region, and there is an estimated population of about 1,000 leopards throughout the national park.
-
Day 2: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
- On this day, we recommend waking up early and having breakfast at 6:30 am to catch an early morning game drive when animals are most active and to witness an exceptional sunrise. Later, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the Ngorongoro Crater resembles a forgotten world.
- The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most stunning wildlife havens in the world. It provides the opportunity to see steep volcanic walls, pristine sweeping savannahs, pockets of acacia woodland, open plains, and glistening streams. You may also encounter a concentration of flamingos and the Big Five. You might even be fortunate enough to spot majestic cats in the branches of the sausage trees that line the banks of the Seronera River.
- Finally, we will head to Ngorongoro Simba Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
-
Day 3: Ngorongoro to Arusha
- We will depart early from camp to ensure we arrive promptly at the Ngorongoro Crater. We will descend into the crater for a game drive and a picnic lunch.
- The Ngorongoro Crater is a massive, unbroken caldera formed when a volcano erupted millions of years ago. The elevated structure encourages the animals to reside within the crater, offering a high possibility of spotting every member of the Big Five. Additionally, you can expect to see other wildlife, such as zebra, hippo, wildebeest, and hyena. Flamingos can be seen lounging gracefully on the banks of the soda lake, while vultures can be found scavenging for discarded prey. Geese and storks are among some of the other bird species.
- Your trip will conclude in the late afternoon when we will proceed to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel.
