Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu (1,300m) to Lhasa (3,650m)
- Departure: Transport to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu or Direct arrival at Lhasa Gonggar airport.
- Flight: Trans-Himalayan flight to Tibet, landing at Gonggar Airport (1 hour).
- Drive: Transfer from Gonggar Airport to Lhasa (1 hour).
- Acclimatization: Full rest upon arrival in Lhasa is needed to acclimate to the altitude.
Overnight at a hotel in Lhasa.
Day 2: Lhasa Tour - Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street
- Visit the Potala Palace of the Dalai Lama, located on Red Hill.
- Explore the glided burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and the meditation cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet.
- Visit the renowned Jokhang Temple, home to the glistening statue of Sakyamuni, a Tibetan Buddhism rarity. Observe pilgrims prostrating in front of the temple.
- Stroll around the ancient Barkhor street to witness ancient art and architecture.
- Taste local dishes and tea in a tea house.

Day 3 : Lhasa Tour - Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery
- Drepung Monastery: Visit one of Tibet's great three Gelug monasteries, founded in 1416 by Jamyang Choge. Near Drepung, explore the biggest monastery kitchen and the Buddhist sculpture carving workshop.
- Sera Monastery: Pay homage to another of the great three Gelug monasteries.
- Witness the Monks' debate from around 3 to 5 PM. Visit the Tibetan religious scripture printing house and observe three sand Mandalas and colourful rock paintings of Lord Buddha.
Overnight at a hotel in Lhasa.
Day 4: Departure
- Transfer to Gonggar Airport for your flight back to Kathmandu or onward to your next destination.

Tibet is located at high altitudes, with Lhasa at around 3,650 meters (12,000 feet). Clients may experience altitude sickness, so it’s advisable to acclimate gradually, stay hydrated, and avoid strenuous activities during the first few days.

A Tibet Travel Permit, in addition to a Chinese visa, is required to enter Tibet. Ensure all necessary permits are obtained and carried at all times during the trip. (3-4 working days are required before departure to Lhasa from Kathmandu.)

Tibet's weather can be unpredictable, with significant temperature differences between day and night. Clients should pack with layered clothing and be prepared for warm and cold conditions.

Tibet is deeply spiritual, so it's important to dress modestly, remove shoes when entering temples, and avoid touching religious artifacts or taking photos in restricted areas. Always ask for permission before photographing monks or locals.

The tour involves walking and some hiking, often at high altitudes. Clients should ensure they are healthy and capable of moderate physical activity.

The local currency is the Chinese Yuan (CNY). While credit cards are accepted in some places, carrying cash is advisable, especially in remote areas. Money exchangers are not available in Lhasa.

Clients should consult their healthcare provider about necessary vaccinations and bring any personal medications, including those for altitude sickness.

While guides may speak English, the language is limited among locals. Learning a few basic phrases in Tibetan or Mandarin can enhance the experience.

WeChat is only used in Lhasa. VPN is required to access other social media platforms.

Access might be limited or slow, particularly in remote areas. Clients should be prepared for reduced connectivity and plan accordingly.

Tibet's fragile environment requires clients to minimize waste, respect local customs, and avoid contributing to environmental degradation.

Tibetan cuisine may differ from what clients are used to, and vegetarian options may be limited. It's advisable to carry snacks and be cautious with water—drink only bottled or purified water.

Clients will receive emergency contact numbers for local support, including the tour operator and local guides.

Upon arrival, clients will be greeted by our representative and driver holding a sign with their name or the company logo at the airport arrival hall. For departures, the driver will pick them up from the hotel or specified location at least 3 hours before the flight time.

Clients will receive our representative, the driver’s name, and contact number in advance. They should keep this information handy in case of any delays or changes in plans.

Details about the vehicle (type, license plate number) will be provided beforehand for easy identification.

The service includes flight tracking to accommodate early arrivals or delays. Clients should provide accurate flight details when booking.
