2-Day Southern Tunisia Adventure from Djerba with Ksar Ghilane

• Departure from the Chaussée Romaine, the only road linking the island of Djerba to the mainland.
• Continue our journey to Tataouine via Chahbaneia. Tataouine is one of the most picturesque towns in southern Tunisia, surrounded by the Ksour mountains.
• Visit the town on foot before continuing to Chenini, a village perched high in the mountains, where we will have lunch at the Gîte Kenza.
• Head for Ksar Ghilane, the most Saharan of oases, surrounded by the Grand Erg Oriental. You can take a camel ride to admire the immense sand dunes (optional, payable locally: 25 DT per person) or relax by the hot spring.

Dinner and overnight stay at Le Paradis camp or similar.

• After breakfast, we will head toward Matmata, where you will discover the magnificent landscapes of southern Tunisia. Passing through the village of Tamezret, you can contemplate an exceptional panoramic view of the entire region.
• Visit the region's troglodyte dwellings, which testify to its cultural richness.
• Enjoy a delicious lunch at Hotel Sidi Driss, a must for lovers of Tunisian gastronomy.
• Passing through the charming village of Toujene, you can stop to admire the traditional Berber architecture and stone houses and take souvenir photos.
