Dinner and overnight at Karama Lodge, Arusha.
Visit Tarangire National Park. It has a very large concentration of elephants and is also famous for tree-hanging pythons and leopards. Much of the action in the park is concentrated around the Tarangire River.
Have lunch and spot twenty elephants or more drinking from the river or simply taking a shower.
Accommodation: Kudu Lodge. Dinner, bed, breakfast, and lunch, or camp at Tarangire.
Enjoy a beautiful long scenic drive through Karatu and along the Ngorongoro Crater.
Stop for coffee on the way to Ngorongoro Serena Lodge and enjoy the view of the crater.
Have a game drive en route with the roof open in Serengeti National Park as you head to the center of the Serengeti. See many cats on the way. The early hours are the best for spotting leopards or lions at work.
On your second day in the Serengeti, enjoy a full day of game driving. Of all national parks in Africa, the Seronera region in Serengeti National Park is one of the best places to spot lions, cheetahs, and leopards. There are always many animals to see in the Serengeti, including crocodiles and hippos, herds of antelopes, and herds of gnus and zebras, depending on the drought in the Serengeti and the timing of the wildebeest migration.
Accommodation: Kisura Tented Camp. Dinner, bed, breakfast, and hot lunch or lunch boxes, or camp for 2 nights with warm showers.
Arrive early at the Ngorongoro Crater around 09:30 hrs for a 4-5 hour game drive. The picnic site is sometimes inhabited by stealing monkeys and acrobatic black kites, which provides a real spectacle. It is safer to eat the food in the Land Cruiser or Land Rover.
Visit the market in Karatu village and eat lunch at a local restaurant.
Walk to the Elephant Waterfall near Gibson Coffee Farm and ask for a guide here.
Accommodation: Kudu Lodge or camp, with a swimming pool and warm showers.
Go on a scenic trip to Lake Eyasi. The road to the lake is easy, with lovely views, and in the dry season there is a lot of dust. The drive takes about 2 hours. Meet the guide on arrival and see the village.
Visit the Hadzabes and Wada toque people, walk or drive to the lake, and relax in the village. It is also great to walk from Hassan to Lake Eyasi, to the shore of the lake, and enjoy a sunset at a local bar. Enjoy time at Rosina's local bar.
See the onion project set up in the sixties under President Julius Kambarage Nyerere.
Accommodation: Kudu Lodge. Dinner, bed, breakfast, and hot lunch, or lunch boxes.
After breakfast, drive to Arusha with lunch boxes.
Transfer to KIA or to a restaurant in Arusha.
Have coffee near Clock Tower.
Visit the Cultural Center here for good food and music.
