The itinerary

Day 01

Activity Day at Victoria Falls

  • Enjoy activities of interest as part of our meet and greet.
  • Take a lion walk.
  • Visit the local village.
  • Swim in Devil's Pool.
  • Enjoy catch-and-release fishing.

Dinner will be at the Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel. Lunch can be enjoyed at the activity venues.

Day 02

Drive to Kasane and Chobe River Sunset Cruise

  • Drive 80 km to Kasane, a town in northwestern Botswana bordering Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Zambia.
  • Settle into your accommodation on arrival.
  • Get ready for a sunset cruise on the Chobe River.

Day 03

Game Drive in Chobe River Park

  • Enjoy an early morning game drive along Chobe River Park.
  • Receive lunch packs, as this drive may continue well past lunchtime. If the drive takes less time than anticipated due to bad weather, poor health, or other reasons, lunch will be available at the accommodation.
  • Rest for the remainder of the day in Botswana.

Dinner will be served in the early evening, giving you time to prepare for the long drive the following day.

Day 04

Travel to Maun and Delta Preparation

  • Drive to Maun and settle into your accommodation.
  • Prepare all equipment and food parcels for the delta.
  • Attend a briefing about the following day, which will be eventful, as you will first travel by truck and then by canoes, also known as mokoro. This is a fun-filled activity that one needs to try at least once.

Stay in accommodation without showers or baths for at least two nights. However, temporary showers can be arranged.

Day 05

Sunrise Bush Walk in the Delta

  • Go on a sunrise bush walk led by our site guide through the swamps.
  • Travel to the Delta using two modes of transport: trucks and canoes.
  • Experience nature first-hand and carry mosquito and buck repellent.
  • Have an opportunity to see hippopotamuses in their natural habitat.

Day 06

Bush Festival and Cultural Experience

  • Spend another day in the swamps enjoying nature in the bush.
  • Relax for the rest of the day.
  • Enjoy more cultural dances and storytelling, and experience the "Bush Festival".

Day 07

Drive to Gantsi and Village Cultural Visit

  • Drive to a small town called Gantsi, named after a fly plague that once hit the area.
  • Have lunch in one of the restaurants along the road or enjoy sandwiches prepared by our guide.
  • Check in and drive to a village where the indigenous people will perform traditional dances and tell stories of ancient living that influenced modern life.

Day 08

Drive to Windhoek and City Cultural Tour

  • Drive to Windhoek, the capital of Namibia.
  • Witness different cultures and have lunch in one of the towns en route.
  • Head to your accommodation and freshen up on arrival in Windhoek.
  • Take a short city tour and learn about the country's history, people, and wars.

Dinner will be at one of the city's restaurants, famous for its ancient cuisine, game meat, and traditional meals.
