Day Trip to Masai Village
- 07:00 AM - Your day begins with an early morning pick-up from your accommodation in Arusha. Enjoy the scenic drive towards the Masai Village, with views of the rolling landscapes and the majestic Mount Meru in the background.
- 09:00 AM - Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by the Masai warriors and elders. The visit starts with an introduction to the Masai culture, including their traditional customs, rituals, and way of life. You'll learn about their nomadic lifestyle, cattle herding, and the significance of their vibrant attire.
- 10:30 AM - Experience the Masai’s world-renowned jumping dance, the “Adumu.” Participate in this lively performance and join the rhythmic clapping and chanting. The Masai warriors will also demonstrate their traditional rituals, offering insight into their spiritual beliefs.
- 12:00 PM - Enter a traditional Masai Boma (homestead) to see how the Masai live. You will learn about their family structures, roles, and daily routines in the small huts made of mud, sticks, and cow dung.
- 01:00 PM - Enjoy a locally prepared meal with the community. This is a great opportunity to interact with the Masai people and better understand their culture.
- 02:30 PM - Visit the village’s market to explore and purchase unique Masai handicrafts, beadwork, and traditional jewellery. Supporting the local artisans helps preserve their craft and culture.
- 03:30 PM - Bid farewell to the Masai community and begin your journey back to Arusha, arriving at your accommodation by late afternoon.
- 05:30 PM - End your culturally enriching day with a drop-off at your hotel.
