Journey from Iquitos into the Amazon wilderness
- Depart from Iquitos City by auto to the port town of Nanay (Bellavista), where the Río Nanay meets the Río Amazonas. After departing by boat, travel 70 km downriver in about 2 hours. Along the riverbank, you will have a great chance to see caimans, turtles, herons, pink river dolphins, snakes, and many other species of flora and fauna.
- Visit Monkey Island, a shelter for thousands of monkeys, including sloths, Goeldi's monkey, tamarin monkey, capuchin monkey, yellow-handed titi monkey, masked titi monkey, cebidae monkey, woolly monkey, spider monkey, and many more. You will also hold very large anacondas and boas and interact with the unique and rare Amazonian mata-mata turtle.
- Enjoy the thrilling experience of catching piranha, catfish, and other species of fish.
- Get the chance to swim with pink freshwater dolphins on the main Amazon River.
- Set out on a nocturnal nature hike to spot different species of flora and fauna.
