Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
- Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your guide will warmly greet you.
- A short drive will take you to your accommodation in Arusha, a vibrant town known as the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.
- After check-in, you can unwind and enjoy the lush gardens of your lodge or explore the local markets and cultural centres at your leisure.
- Your guide will brief you on the exciting days ahead in the evening.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
- After a hearty breakfast, embark on your first game drive to Tarangire National Park, famed for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds.
- As you journey through this iconic landscape, keep your eyes peeled for lions, leopards, and various antelope species. Tarangire River, a lifeline for wildlife during the dry season, will offer you unparalleled opportunities for wildlife viewing.
- A picnic lunch will be served amidst the park’s beauty before you continue exploring in the afternoon.
Overnight at a lodge or tented camp in Tarangire.
Day 3: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater
- Depart early from Tarangire and drive towards the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater. Known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World," the crater offers a unique ecosystem teeming with wildlife.
- Descend into the crater for a full day of game viewing, where you can spot the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard—along with many other species.
- Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor, surrounded by breathtaking views.
- Later in the day, ascend to the crater rim for a scenic drive to your lodge.

Day 4: Lake Manyara to Arusha
- On your final day, head to Lake Manyara National Park, a gem at the base of the Great Rift Valley. This park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, diverse birdlife, and beautiful soda lake.

The local currency is the Tanzanian Shilling (TZS), but US Dollars are widely accepted. Bring small denominations for tips and small purchases.

Tipping is customary in Tanzania, especially for guides and lodge staff. Budget around $10-$15 per day for your guide.
