12-Day Kenya Wildlife Safari with Diani Beach Escape

• After an early breakfast, depart from your Nairobi hotel at around 7:30 a.m. and drive to Samburu Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch. After a leisurely lunch break at the camp, relax as you wait for the evening game drive in Samburu National Reserve.
• Samburu lies north of the equator and is home to rare drought-resistant animal species that can go for long periods without water. These include the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebras, the blue-shanked Somali ostrich, the gerenuk giraffe gazelle, and the Beisa oryx. Other animals found here include elephants, lions, and leopards. Overnight at Samburu Simba Camp or Sarova Shaba Lodge (FB).

• After an early breakfast, depart for a game drive in Samburu in search of the rare species found in this magnificent landscape of northern Kenya. The morning game drive lasts around 4 hours, after which you return for lunch.
• After lunch, relax until 16:00, then head out for another evening game drive until 18:00. Overnight at Elephant Bedroom Camp or equivalent, or Samburu Simba Camp or Sarova Shaba Lodge (FB).

• After an early breakfast, depart with a game drive en route as you travel to Nakuru. Along the way, stop at the Equator, then continue to Nyahururu for a lunch break.
• After lunch, drive through the Kenyan highlands, which are famous for their coffee and tea plantations. Stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint and at one of the tea plantations before proceeding to Nakuru. Overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge (FB).

• After breakfast, proceed for a morning game drive. After lunch, another game drive follows until 18:00.
• Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for its flamingos, more than 450 bird species, and about 50 species of mammals, including gazelles, zebras, baboons, warthogs, waterbucks, Rothschild giraffes, buffalos, lions, as well as white and black rhinos. Overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge (FB).

• After breakfast, depart for Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch. After a leisurely lunch break, proceed for an evening game drive until 18:00.
• This park is home to elephants, wildebeests (gnu), buffalos, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, monkey families, and rare bird species. In the early evening, as the clouds clear, the magnificent snow-capped dome of Mt. Kilimanjaro may be revealed. Overnight at Serena Lodge or equivalent (FB).

• After breakfast, proceed for a morning game drive in Amboseli until 12:00, then return for lunch. After lunch, relax before heading out for another game drive until around 18:00.
• Overnight at Serena Lodge or equivalent (FB).

• After breakfast, depart for Tsavo East, arriving in time for lunch. Thereafter, enjoy an evening game drive until 18:00.
• Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest parks in Kenya, located in the southeast of the country. It covers an area of 13,747 km2, making it one of the biggest parks. The park holds the biggest concentration of elephants, not to mention big cats and high numbers of plains game. Overnight at Tsavo Sentrim Camp or equivalent (FB).

After breakfast, proceed for a morning game drive, which takes you up to Lugard's Falls. The falls are named after the first British governor of East Africa during the British protectorate.

This spectacular natural feature is found in the park, where the Galana River plunges into gorges, creating multi-colored rocks and spectacular, magnificent, and evocative landscapes. Other attractions found along the river include hippos and crocodiles. Thereafter, return to the lodge or camp for lunch. After lunch, relax until 16:00 before heading out for an evening game drive until 18:00.

Overnight at Tsavo Sentrim Camp or equivalent (FB).

After breakfast, depart for Diani Beach with a game drive en route, arriving at your hotel at around 17:00.
