Day 01
Classic Dubai City Tour Through Old Dubai and Its Souks
The tour will cover the following sites:
- Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood (Al Bastakiya)
- Discover what life in Old Dubai was like during the mid-19th century at Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood. Located along Dubai Creek, this district is a key heritage site, with much of the original infrastructure preserved and intact.
- Dubai Creek
- Dubai Creek's history stretches back many thousands of years - the ancient Greeks knew it as the 'River Zara', and the creek has been a site for fishing and trade for millennia. There's also evidence that it once stretched much further inland than the 10 km or so it does today. Some geological discoveries suggest the waterway may have reached almost to the modern-day border with Oman, around 150 km from Dubai.
- Dubai Gold Souk
- A trip to Dubai isn't complete without a visit to the famous Gold Souk, one of the oldest and most fascinating traditional markets in the Emirates. Whether browsing or searching for even the smallest amount of precious gold, walk through the glittering bazaar to find designs from around the world crafted in various carats.
- Dubai Spice Souk
- Dubai's Spice Souk is a colourful, aromatic, and sensory experience. Discover new flavours and recipes as you explore the traditional spice market in Dubai's heritage area.
- Burj Al Arab Hotel
- This luxury, record-breaking all-suite hotel includes a range of fine-dining restaurants, incredible beaches, and the expansive Burj Al Arab Terrace.
- Jumeirah Mosque (Rashid Mosque)
- Visit the Jumeirah Mosque. It is a real opportunity to learn, explore the mosque, and indulge in the culture.
