This 7-day tour covers Rwanda's three main attractions, taking you east to Akagera National Park, north to Volcano National Park, and south to Nyungwe National Park. The journey ends with cultural visits to the King's Palace and the Ethnographic Museum in Butare, where you will learn more about the history and culture of Rwanda.

The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Kigali and Tour Briefing

On our first day, you will meet our professional guide at Kigali International Airport, who will take you to the hotel and brief you on the tour.

Day 02

Game Drive in Akagera National Park

On our second day, we will wake up early and start our journey at 5:00 to reach the park office at 7:00 a.m.
We will enter the park for a game drive to try to see the Big Five animals: lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, rhinoceros, and other wild savanna animals.
We will leave the park around 3:00 p.m. and then return to Kigali for another night.

Day 03

Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Volcano National Park

On the 3rd day, we will wake up early in the morning and leave our hotel at 5:00 so that we can attend the briefing at 7:00 at Volcano National Park reception before going for mountain gorilla trekking.
We will come back in the evening, maybe at 3:00 p.m. It will depend on how physically fit we are.
Then we will continue to Muhabura Hotel to spend one night.

Day 04

Rest Break and Drive to Nyungwe National Park

According to the tiredness you get from the long journey you made by flight and continuing with the game drive and gorilla trekking, you need a short break on this day.
During the evening, we will drive to Nyungwe Nziza Ecolodge, near Nyungwe National Park, to spend one night.

Day 05

Rainforest Exploration in Nyungwe National Park

We will wake up at 6:00 a.m. and head toward the park reception to attend a general briefing at 7:00 a.m.
Then, we will explore and experience the biodiversity hosted in this rainforest, including primates, other rainforest wild animals, and different species of plants.
Also, in that park, we will experience canopy walks and waterfalls.
Then we will come back to the hotel to spend another night.

Day 06

Ethnographic Museum and King's Palace Visit

After breakfast at 8:00 a.m., we will leave the hotel and drive for around 3 hours to get to the Ethnographic Museum in Butare to get more information about the history of Rwanda, and we will head toward the King's Palace to experience the culture of Rwanda.
Then we will go back to Kigali to spend the night.

Day 07

Leisure Time and Flight Preparation

On this last day, we will take a short break until 2:00 p.m.
After lunch, we will leave the hotel to maybe shop for souvenirs, take care of personal expenses, and then come back to the hotel to prepare for returning home.
