ROUTE: HCMC - My Tho - Ben Tre - HCMC

• Leaving the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City behind, begin your journey to My Tho, located on the left side of the Mekong River. Upon arrival, visit Vĩnh Tràng Pagoda, which dates back to the late 19th century. Then board a sampan and cruise along the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise Islands.
• Stop at Unicorn Island, walk along the country lane, and see orchards. Enjoy tropical fruits and listen to folk songs and music performed by local people. Visit the fruit plantation.
• Ride a hand-rowed sampan through the Thoi Son canal and enjoy the beauty of the countryside. Visit a family-run honey-bee farm business, and enjoy honey tea and a coconut candy workshop.
• Have lunch at a local restaurant during the break.
• In the afternoon, cycle around Tan Thach village and meet the villagers to experience the daily life of the locals in the Mekong Delta. For those who cannot join the cycling trip, relaxing in a hammock and enjoying the cool breeze is a great alternative. Return to Ho Chi Minh City - end of trip.

• Take the morning trip to Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification Palace, built on the site of the former Norodom Palace. The Independence Palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by architect Ngo Viet Thu.
• Continue to admire beautiful structures from the French colonial era, such as Notre-Dame Cathedral and the historic Central Post Office. This is followed by the remarkable War Remnants Museum, which has a vast display related to the Indochina wars.
• Have lunch at a local restaurant.
• Continue the city tour in the afternoon by discovering the western side of the city. Ride to Chợ Lớn (Big Market) and Thien Hau Pagoda in Chinatown.
• Continue to Bach Dang Harbour. The boat will depart after checking the water bus tickets and settling into your seat.
• During the trip, enjoy a unique view of some of the city's most typical commercial buildings, including the Vinhomes Central Park urban area, the magnificent Landmark 81 tower, the Bitexco Financial Tower, and the green, peaceful District 2. Many stunning moments await you.

The tunnels are a great destination located 70 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City Centre. Cu Chi was known as the "area of steel" during the war, and the tunnel system stretched over 200 km, making it an unbreakable underground village during the Vietnam-American War. It is legendary for its network of tunnels and remains a popular destination for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors.

ITINERARY:

• Pick up at your hotel and depart for Cu Chi. The journey takes approximately one and a half hours by bus.
• Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will watch a short introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how people survived in the harsh wartime conditions. Then spend time exploring the remaining tunnel system, including specially constructed living areas with kitchens and bedrooms, along with other military facilities such as storage areas, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centres, which helped those living inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. There are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security during the war. Afterwards, special tea and cassava - guerrilla food during the war - will be served.
• Break time for relaxation or for those who want to try real shooting.
• Return to Saigon. End trip.
