The journey
Embark on a 3-day journey through Madagascar's rugged western wonders, from the surreal limestone spires of Tsingy de Bemaraha, formed under the sea many millions of years ago and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to the iconic Avenue of the Baobabs. This cluster of towering Grandidier's baobabs is one of Madagascar's most famous views, with about 400 baobabs in the immediate area. The best light for photography is just before sunset, when it brings out the red hue in the bark.

Day by day
Depart at 7:00 am from Morondava and pass by the Avenue of the Baobabs for a short stop.
Continue the drive to Belo sur Tsiribihina.
Cross the first river by ferry, then have lunch in town.
Continue toward the Manambolo River ferry and onward to Bekopaka.
Arrive at around 5:00 pm and settle in.
Overnight at Tanankoay Hotel.
Depart from the hotel at 7:30 am for the park entrance.
Begin the visit to the Great Tsingy at 9:00 am, including the limestone formations, canyons, and suspension bridges.
Return at around 2:00 pm and rest at the hotel.
Overnight in Bekopaka.
Depart early at 6:00 am and cross the ferries back.
Stop at Baobab Amoureux to see the intertwined baobab pair.
In the late afternoon, stop at the Avenue of the Baobabs for sunset.
Continue to Morondava in the evening.
Overnight at Menabe Hotel.
