The itinerary

Day 01

Fortress Kale, Old Bazaar and Macedonia Square

The starting point of this 3-hour tour is Fortress Kale, one of the two symbols of the city.
Enjoy fantastic views of the newer part of the city, mostly built after the horrible earthquake in 1963, as well as the US Embassy, the football stadium, and Mount Vodno with the Millennium Cross. You will also hear a short introduction to the city's history and have free time to take photos.
Later, continue to the Old Bazaar, home to the Mustapha Pasha Mosque, one of the oldest mosques still functioning in the Balkans, dating from 1492, and the Church of the Ascension of Jesus, the only Orthodox Christian building constructed in the Old Bazaar during the Ottoman period (14th-20th centuries). Suli An and Daut Pasha Hammam, both dating back to the 15th century, are also included before reaching the modern part of the city on the right bank of the River Vardar.
Before crossing the Stone Bridge, one of the oldest landmarks of Skopje, see the Holocaust Memorial Center along with many new museums and monuments.
The tour then continues across the Stone Bridge to the central square, where the most significant and impressive monument is dedicated to Alexander the Great.
Before leaving the center of the Macedonian metropolis, visit the Memorial House of Mother Teresa, the most famous humanist born in this part of the world.
