Itinerary

1. Day 1: Drive to Dhunche Bazaar (1960m) and Trek to Chandanbari (Sing Gompa) (3330m)

   • Early in the morning, depart from Kathmandu for a scenic drive to Dhunche Bazaar, the administrative headquarters of Rasuwa District. The journey takes approximately 6 hours, passing through picturesque landscapes, terraced fields, and traditional villages. 
   • Upon reaching Dhunche Bazaar, where Langtang National Park begins, you'll start your trek to Chandanbari (also known as Sing Gompa). The trek ascends gradually through forests of pine and rhododendrons, offering glimpses of Langtang Lirung and other Himalayan peaks. Chandanbari is home to a Buddhist monastery and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

   Overnight in Chandanbari.

2. Day 2: Trek to Gosaikunda (4380m)

   • After breakfast, continue your trek towards Gosaikunda, a sacred lake nestled in the Langtang National Park. The trail ascends steeply, passing through alpine forests and lush meadows adorned with wildflowers during the spring season. 
   • As you climb higher, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges. Gosaikunda is not only a place of natural beauty but also holds religious significance for Hindu pilgrims who visit the lake during festivals. Explore the serene surroundings and enjoy the tranquillity of the high-altitude lake.

   Overnight near Gosaikunda.

3. Day 03: Trek back to Dhunche Bazaar and Drive back to Kathmandu

   • Today, wake up early to witness the sunrise over the majestic Himalayas surrounding Gosaikunda. After breakfast, begin your descent back towards Dhunche Bazaar. The trek retraces your steps through diverse landscapes, offering different perspectives of the mountains and valleys. Upon reaching Dhunche Bazaar, bid farewell to the Langtang region and prepare for your drive back to Kathmandu. The drive takes approximately 6 hours, passing through rural villages and scenic countryside. 
   • Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel and relax after the adventurous trek. You can spend your remaining time exploring Kathmandu, shopping for souvenirs, or simply resting before your departure.
