Anahulu Cave Cultural Experience

  • The cultural tour is hosted at Anahulu Cave, 30 minutes away from town.
  • This is one of the most important experiences for visitors coming to Tonga and the most authentic cultural tour. The women demonstrating mat weaving and tapa cloth making are from the village near Anahulu Cave.
  • Tucked away from the noise of the main town and capital of Tonga, in Havelluliku, Anahulu Cave is the ideal setting for our cultural tours.
  • A traditional welcoming Kava Ceremony will be performed if there are more than 4 guests, or Kava tasting if there are fewer than 4 guests.
  • Coconut demonstrations will be performed, including coconut cream making, husking, and climbing, if weather permits.
