Real Gambia Experiences Along the Coast

  • Join us on an off-the-beaten-track adventure that follows the coast while uncovering the Gambian village way of life by also travelling through the outskirts of the villages.
  • We make unscheduled stops, such as visits to a primary school and traditional family compounds, and also pause to observe the traditional village way of life and many exotic and colourful birds. We drive close to Paradise Beach, where you will enjoy lunch and relaxation. We also visit a local Manjago compound, where you will learn how the palm is "tapped" and be offered some wine to sample.
  • Next, we visit the Tanji Village Museum, which shows various aspects of Gambian culture.
  • On our return, we stop by a fishing village, with an explanation of the importance of this industry and firsthand experience of how it works in the country.
