Fathala Safari Adventure from Banjul
- We start early in the morning and catch the early ferry from Banjul Ferry Terminal to Barra, where we will meet our waiting vehicle and drive to the border for immigration formalities. Please acquire your visa if you need one to enter Senegal, and bring your yellow fever certificate.
- Once we arrive in Senegal, we are introduced to our ranger as we are welcomed into the Fathala Nature Reserve, currently 2,000 acres of natural environment that many African wildlife species now call home.
- In our enclosed vehicle, we follow animal tracks through the wilderness to spot some of the species that roam the area. In just one day, it is possible to see giraffes, rhinos, giant elands, zebras, antelopes, pythons, and buffalos, to mention only a few - how lucky will you be? This is a great chance to take memories of Africa home, so don't forget your camera - this may be your only chance to capture some amazing pictures!
- During the day, we will have lunch at a local restaurant on the way back to the ferry. Drinks and ice cream are normally available to buy during the day at the park. You will also learn about the area's history and its great plans for the future. Go on and be part of an African experience that you will remember forever.
Optional lion walk available at an extra cost of approximately $45 per person, paid locally at Fathala.
