Day 02

Full-Day Game Drive in Tarangire National Park

  • After a hearty breakfast, set off for a thrilling game drive in Tarangire National Park. The Tarangire River, a vital water source during the dry season, attracts hundreds of animals, making wildlife and bird viewing extraordinary. The park's diverse landscape features grassy savanna plains, swamps, hills, and magnificent baobabs.
  • Spend a full day exploring this stunning park.
  • Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation at Stc Safari Lodge (Full Board).

Day 03

Drive to Seronera with Maasai Village Visit

  • After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to the central part of Serengeti National Park (Seronera). "Serengeti" is derived from the Maasai language, meaning "endless plain."
  • On the way, visit a Maasai village to immerse yourself in Maasai culture and participate in tribal activities.
  • Continue with a game drive en route to your camp.

Day 04

Central Serengeti Wildlife Exploration

  • Start your day early to take advantage of the cooler temperatures and increased animal activity.
  • Travel through diverse terrains and ecosystems, offering ample wildlife sightings and photography opportunities.
  • Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated safe spot with beautiful views.
  • Return to camp in the evening for dinner, which may include local cuisine.
  • Share stories of the day and enjoy the camp's ambience.

Day 05

Ngorongoro Crater Game Viewing

  • After breakfast, depart from Serengeti and head towards Ngorongoro Crater.
  • Descend into the crater for a day of game viewing and exploration. The Ngorongoro Crater, often called the world's eighth wonder, is 600 m deep, 16 km across, and 265 sq km in area.
  • Witness Tanzania's last remaining black rhinos, lions, cheetahs, elands, zebras, and gazelles. Flamingos and other bird species can be seen at Makat Soda Lake.
  • In the afternoon, drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Stc Safari Lodge.

Departure Transfer to the Airport

What to bring

  • Warm layers: Early mornings and evenings can be chilly, especially in the Ngorongoro Crater. Consider bringing a fleece or jacket.
  • Comfortable walking shoes: For walking safaris and general comfort.
  • Hat and sunglasses: For sun protection.
  • Binoculars: Essential for wildlife viewing.
  • Camera with extra batteries and memory cards: To capture the incredible wildlife and landscapes.
  • Travel adapter and chargers: For keeping your electronics powered.

  • Sunscreen and lip balm: Use a high SPF to protect against the strong African sun.

  • Weather and Climate: Dry Season (June to October): this is the best time for wildlife viewing, as animals gather around water sources. Days are warm, and nights can be cool. Wet Season (November to May): expect lush landscapes and fewer tourists, but some areas may be inaccessible. The Great Migration in Serengeti usually takes place around this time.
  • Wildlife Etiquette: Respect wildlife, stay quiet, and leave no trace.
  • Camping: Basic campsites offer a more rugged experience, while luxury tents can provide more comfort.
  • Lodges: These provide more amenities but might be pricier.
