Day 01

Daintree Rainforest, Barron Gorge and Palm Cove

• Meet and greet at Cairns Port or Yorkeys Knob.
• Enjoy a scenic drive into the Daintree Rainforest, the oldest living rainforest in the world, to a spectacular lookout where you can spot your cruise ship as you gaze over the tropical forest towards Trinity Inlet and the Coral Sea.
• Visit the famous Barron Gorge and the Barron Falls lookout.
• Choose an optional visit to Kuranda Village, where your guide will direct you to local products such as opal, leather apparel, clothing, jewellery, and refreshments, or continue on to scenic local attractions featuring ancient landscapes.
• Take the scenic drive to Palm Cove via the World Heritage-listed Coral Coast Highway and Rex Lookout for a spectacular view over the Coral Sea and Cairns' northern beaches.
• Enjoy a relaxing late lunch or afternoon tea under the palm trees.
• Return to your hotel or cruise ship at Yorkeys Knob or Cairns Wharf.

Know before you go

• Temperatures here in the far north tropics of Queensland can sometimes reach into the high 30 degrees Celsius, or 100 degrees F, between late November and mid-April. However, most of our touring will be within an air-conditioned vehicle, with short walks into the cooler shaded rainforests, so don't let this stop you unless you are easily distressed by hot, humid weather. In that case, come during Australia's winter months, June - Sept.
• For tours longer than a day, it is very important to understand that my daily rate is $990.00 AUD per day, and all other expenses are at your own cost. Please allow for your own accommodation and food expenses. These can vary between $250-$1000 AUD per day. Receipts will be kept as proof of purchase for transparency.
• Food and drinks can be arranged according to dietary requirements at the customer's expense.
• Accommodation on more extended trips will be in 4-star hotels unless requested otherwise, and all accommodation expenses are at your own cost.
