Samarkand's Historic Monuments and Bazaar

  • A tour to Samarkand is a unique journey that allows you to plunge into the magical world of the East. The city of Samarkand is one of the oldest cities in Central Asia and a true treasure of history and culture.
  • First, we will visit the Gur-Emir Mausoleum, one of the main attractions of Samarkand. This is the tomb of Timur, the great conqueror and ruler who left his mark on history. The mausoleum is impressive for its architecture and luxurious interior, and it is also the burial place of many members of the Timur dynasty.
  • Then, you can walk or drive to Registan Square. Registan is the central square of Samarkand and one of the most beautiful squares in the East. Three madrasahs are located here - Ulugbek, Sherdora, and Tillya-Kari - and they impress visitors with their architecture and the patterns on their facades. Registan is a true pearl of Samarkand and attracts tourists from all over the world.
  • After lunch, you may dine at a restaurant near the Registan or at another place of your choice.
  • After that, we will continue to the Bibi Khanum Mosque. The Bibi Khanum Mosque is one of the largest mosques in the East, built in the XV century. The mosque impresses with its majestic size and unique architecture. Inside, you can see beautiful patterns and frescoes that create a unique atmosphere.
  • On the way to the Shahi Zinda Mausoleum, you can visit Siab Bazaar. Siyab Bazaar is one of the most popular markets in Samarkand, where you can buy souvenirs, textiles, jewellery, and other goods. The bazaar offers a huge selection of products and reflects the oriental trade culture.
  • Then, we will head to Shahi Zinda, a necropolis of many mausoleums and mosques. Members of the Temurid dynasty and other dignitaries are buried here. The architecture of Shahi Zinda impresses with its beauty and uniqueness, and each mausoleum is a true work of art.
  • Finally, we will go to the Ulugbek Observatory. The Ulugbek Observatory is one of the oldest observatories in the world, built in the XV century. Here, Ulugbek observed the stars and made significant discoveries in astronomy. The observatory is a monument of science and culture and is of great interest to astronomy enthusiasts.
