Day 02

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

  • After breakfast, we will start the safari from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and September, the dry period. During this time, thousands of animals - wildebeest, buffalo, and oryx - migrate from the dry Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River, looking for water. Lions, leopards, and other predators follow the herds. Tarangire is home to over 500 varieties of birds.
  • Have lunch, enjoy late-afternoon game viewing, and then drive to the rest house for dinner.

Overnight at ST CATHERINE KARATU or Stc Safari Lodge.

3
Day 03

Karatu to Serengeti with Game Drives En Route

  • You will have an early morning breakfast at the hotel, then drive to the great Serengeti National Park with lunch and game drives en route.
  • During your afternoon game drive in the park, you might see lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, eland, wild dogs, gazelles, crocodiles, and more - along with lots of birds, including migrants.

Day 05

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

  • After breakfast, depart from Serengeti for Ngorongoro Crater and descend to the crater floor for game drives. All of the Big Five - rhino, lion, buffalo, and elephant - live in this beautiful caldera. Others that live here are zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena, and more. Birds include flamingos on the Soda Lake, geese, storks, vultures, and more.
  • Your lunch will be served at the crater at Ngoitoktok Swamp picnic site, which has a hippo pool.

Dinner and overnight at STC SAFARI LODGE or similar.
