Authentic Hanoi Street Food and Hidden Alleyways Walk
This Hanoi street food walking tour is different from other food tours because it takes you to local spots where only locals know to try some of the best delicacies that Hanoi has to offer.
I will show you the history behind the dishes, the meaning of their names, how they are cooked, the ingredients used, and how to eat them, so you'll gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese food culture.
You will use all five senses: sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing.
I will take you to hidden spots that you would not easily find on your own.
Make sure that your stomach is empty so that you can try as many dishes as possible.
At 5:30 pm, hotel pick-up and walk to a nearby local wet market to learn more about ingredients such as fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, and seafood, so that you can better understand Vietnam's market food culture.
Then start filling up your stomach by trying some of the best food that Hanoi has to offer.
Sample menu (can be customized on request):
- Chicken Pho Soup / Mixed Chicken Pho
- Banh Cuon (steamed rice roll with minced pork and mushroom)
- Nem Chua Ran (deep-fried fermented pork sausage)
- Nom Bo Kho (dry beef salad)
- Secret delicious dish for dessert
Note: We also cater to vegetarians (not pure vegetarian - for example, for Pho soup, we won't add any meat, but the broth is made of bones). Please inform us in advance.

It's a walking tour, so if you can't walk a long distance, we will find spots close to each other so you don't have to walk far.
We can customize the itinerary and dishes based on your taste and interest (private tour option).
Duration: 3 hours.
