Hidden Corners and Classic Highlights of Hanoi
- 8:00 am: Take a car to the western part of the city. Your first glimpse of Hanoi's local life starts here as you walk through a less-visited market where locals sell a variety of items such as flowers, plants, bonsai shrubbery, birds, fish, other pets, and more.
- Wander leisurely through the famous maze of crowded alleys and narrow streets, which eventually leads to B52 Lake. Here, you will see the Vietnam War wreckage of Captain Lewis' crashed B52.
- Then, visit the Temple of Literature, the first national university of Vietnam, founded in 1076.
- Afterwards, have lunch at a local place.
- Next, visit Hanoi Hilton, where the Vietnamese captured John McCain.
- Walk through some of the backstreets of the Old Quarter.
- Enjoy a half-hour walk through Hanoi's French Quarter to admire its architecture.
- Return to the hotel. The tour ends at 5:00 pm.
