Day 01
Private Hanoi City Tour from Ha Long Bay
- After docking, the day will begin with a convenient pickup from the Ha Long Bay port terminal.
- After 2.5 hours on the new highway from Ha Long Bay to Hanoi, our tour guide will take you on a full-day Hanoi city tour to see some of the most famous sights and some hidden gems off the beaten path.
- Our first stop will be at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where you can pay homage to the country's great leader.
- We will then visit the One Pillar Pagoda, a unique, historic religious structure, and learn about its fascinating origins.
- Next, we will head to Hỏa Lò Prison Museum, which was initially used by the French colonists in Indochina for political prisoners and later by North Vietnam for U.S. prisoners of war during the Vietnam War. During this later period, it was known to American POWs as the "Hanoi Hilton".
- We'll take a break for lunch at a famous and unique restaurant to try an authentic Vietnamese meal.
- Afterward, we will make our way to a hidden gem of Hanoi - Train Street, a unique narrow alley where trains pass just inches away from residential buildings. It's a fascinating sight to witness, and you can take some great photos of the train rumbling through the heart of the city. Remember to stay at a safe distance when the train approaches.
- Finally, we will discover Hanoi Old Quarter on foot from Hoàn Kiếm Lake, including Ngọc Sơn Temple.
- Leave Hanoi Old Quarter to depart for the cruise ship.
