Itinerary

1. Day 01: Arrival Day

   • Welcome to the start of your safari, and welcome to Tanzania! You've been waiting for this moment: your Tanzanian safari starts here. You have so much to look forward to, and we'll get your trip underway as soon as we introduce you to our team and explain what lies ahead. Busy Arusha is an essential part of safari life in northern Tanzania, and most travellers pass through at some point. Whether on your way out on safari or here for a little longer, you’ll see streets filled with energy and colour.

2. Day 02: Tarangire National Park

   • After an early breakfast, depart from Arusha and journey to Tarangire National Park, known for its iconic baobab trees and abundant wildlife. The park is located slightly off the main safari route. Tarangire National Park is a lovely, quiet park in northern Tanzania most famous for its elephant migration, birding and quiet, authentic safari atmosphere. Most travellers to the region either miss out on Tarangire altogether or venture into the park for hours, leaving parts of Tarangire virtually untouched.
   • Later, after lunch, you will have a game en route to the gate and head to Lake Eyasi for dinner and overnight.

3. Day 03: Hadzabe & Datoga Tribe Visit

   • After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Eyasi, which takes just over an hour. There, you will visit the Hadzabe bushmen and Datoga blacksmiths. The Hadzabe Bushmen are the last true hunter-gatherers in East Africa.
   • Later, you will visit the Datoga tribe. These pastoralists are also skilled blacksmiths. They collect metal scrap, which they cleverly process into bracelets, arrowheads and knives.
   • Later, you will head to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

4. Day 04: Ngorongoro Crater

   • After breakfast, you will head to Ngorongoro Crater early in the morning. Upon reaching the descending gate, you will descend into the caldera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's natural wonders. As you head down, a unique ecosystem teeming with wildlife unfolds. The crater is home to an impressive concentration of animals, making it an exceptional game-viewing destination.
   • Later in the afternoon, enjoy your picnic lunch close to a hippo pool and experience the moment.
   • Later, you will ascend the crater and head to Serengeti National Park.

5. Day 05: Serengeti National Park

   • After breakfast, your game drive will begin in the world-famous Serengeti National Park, which offers incredible opportunities to see lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, cheetahs and many other animals, including antelopes and other wildlife.
   • Your seasoned guide provides detailed explanations of animal behaviour and ecosystem dynamics, making this not just a game drive but a genuinely educational experience.

6. Day 06: Serengeti National Park - Zanzibar

   • On this day, we suggest waking up early for an early morning game drive and seeing one of the best sunrises you'll ever witness. It's one of the most beautiful experiences. 
   • After the game drive, we will return to the camp for a rewarding brunch.
   • Alternatively, you may stay at the camp for some relaxation instead of this early morning game drive.
   • You'll then proceed to the airstrip for your flight to your next excellent destination, Zanzibar.
   • Zanzibar:
     • Welcome to the exotic paradise of Zanzibar! 
     • Upon arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, our local guide will greet you and transfer you to your beachfront hotel. 
     • After check-in, take some time to relax, unwind, and soak in the serene Indian Ocean views.

   Accommodation: Aluna Nungwi Zanzibar

7. Day 07: Zanzibar

   • The next few days are dedicated to pure relaxation and personalized exploration on the sun-kissed beaches of Zanzibar. Whether you're seeking serene moments by the ocean, water adventures, or cultural discoveries, these days are yours to tailor to your preferences.
   • Feel the soft sand beneath your feet as you lounge on the idyllic beaches, basking in the tropical sun. The Indian Ocean's inviting waters provide the perfect backdrop for various water activities, including snorkelling, diving, and swimming.

8. Day 08: Zanzibar

   • Zanzibar offers a myriad of excursions catering to diverse interests. You can choose from a range of activities, such as a spice tour to explore the island's spice plantations, a visit to the Jozani Forest to encounter the endemic Red Colobus monkeys, or a cultural tour of Stone Town to delve into Zanzibar's rich history.

9. Day 09: Departure Day

   • All good things must end, and your time with us in Tanzania will now draw to a close. 
   • After a delicious breakfast with a view of the ocean, spend your final hours at leisure.
   • Take a last-minute dip in the turquoise waters, soak up the sun, or relax on the beach. 
   • Check out from your hotel, and our team will transfer you to the airport, where you'll bid farewell to this tropical and savanna paradise, carrying with you cherished memories.
