9-Day Southern Ethiopia Cultural Tour with Omo Valley Tribes

• On the first day, we will meet you at the arrivals terminal of Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. After the introductions, we will take you to your hotel in Addis Ababa.

• Upon arrival, we will pick you up from the hotel and drive to Dorze Village, located in the highlands of Arba Minch. Dorze is famous for its tall beehive-like houses made from bamboo canes and banana plant leaves. Here, we will enjoy a guided tour of the town and learn what daily life is like for its inhabitants.
• Finally, you can relax for the rest of the day at Paradise Lodge.

• We will enjoy a rich breakfast before leaving Arba Minch behind and heading to Turmi. Along the way, we'll pass through the town of Weyto, home to the Tsemai tribe.
• At the end of the day, we will arrive in Turmi, home to the Hamer tribe. Then, we will relax at Buska Lodge in Turmi.

• On the fourth morning, we will take a day trip to Ommorate to visit the Dassanech tribe. Once there, we will cross the Omo River in a small boat and explore the town to learn about its deeply rooted traditions. Here, we will discover what life is like on the shore of Lake Turkana, where people hunt crocodiles and fish every day.
• In the afternoon, we'll return to Turmi, where, if it is happening on this day, we can witness the famous Hamer tribal bull jumping.

Overnight: Buska Lodge

• Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will leave Turmi and travel to the town of Kangatan. Explore this farming town.
• We will return to Turmi to rest until the next day at Buska Lodge.

• Once we've finished breakfast, we will travel to the town of Kara, home to a small tribe of only 3,000 inhabitants.
• Upon arrival, we will share the history of this town on the western shore of the Omo River, including the body paintings used for beautification purposes. After spending time with the inhabitants of Kara, we will return to Buska Lodge.

• On the 7th day, after an energising breakfast, we will travel to the Mursi tribe in Mago National Park. We will spend the whole morning sharing time and experiences with the Mursi tribe, and then travel to Jinka for lunch at your own expense.
• In the afternoon, after refreshments, we will drive to the village of Aari.

Overnight: at Jinka Resort

• After breakfast, we will take a road trip to Konso and continue the tour by driving to one of the most interesting walled villages in Konso, called Gamole.
• We will end the day in Arba Minch at Paradise Lodge.

On the 9th day, we will catch a flight from Arba Minch to Addis Ababa. After dinner, we will take you to Addis Ababa Bole International Airport in time for your return flight home.
