1. Kumasi Fort - Ghana Armed Forces Museum

   • The museum showcases various military equipment, artifacts, and items utilized during the British Asante War of 1990 and the Second World War. Additionally, its collections encompass war weaponry, flags, decorations, armoured vehicles, portraits, and photographs. This institution serves as a valuable historical resource for tracing the evolution and progress of Ghana from the colonial era to the present day.

2. Manhyia Palace Museum

   • An essential highlight of the palace that enhances the enriching experience for tourists is the Manhyia Palace Museum. Despite its modest size, this museum houses a wealth of historical artifacts, war talismans, and other treasures from the Asante Kingdom. It was inaugurated in 1995 as part of the Silver Jubilee celebration commemorating the ascension of the Golden Stool.

3. Prempeh II Museum

   • While this museum may be compact, the personalized tour included, which is offered with admission, provides a captivating introduction to Ashanti culture and history. Among its exhibits are artifacts associated with Ashanti King Prempeh II, including his war attire, ceremonial garments, jewellery, protective talismans, personal accessories for bathing and dining, furniture, royal emblems, and finely crafted brass weights for gold measurement. Designed to resemble an Ashanti chief's residence, the museum features a front courtyard and walls adorned with traditional carved symbols.

4. Okomfo Anokye Sword Site

   • Within its dedicated small museum, you'll find the Komfo Anokye Sword Site, where the 'immovable' sword, driven into the ground by Okomfo Anokye, is situated.
