Day 01

Meet at Prouds Shopping Complex in Nadi Town

• I meet all my guests at the meeting point, which is Prouds Shopping Complex, Main Street, Nadi Town.
• We have two tour departure times: 9:30 am and 2:00 pm.

Day 02

Nadi Farmers Market and Traditional Tastings

• Tour a vibrant farmers market to see some local farm and spice produce.
• Learn about the various root crops and vegetables, traditional farming techniques, and local cooking techniques passed down through generations.
• Learn about and taste the native traditional Kava drink, along with its significance in Fijian culture.
• Wear around your neck the traditional local Tabua, a sperm whale's tooth, and learn its significance in Fijian culture as well.
• This is where we begin our local fruit-tasting experience. Treat your taste buds to some delicious homemade desserts called Vakalolo. This is a must-do part of the tour.

Day 03

Cultural Handicraft Centre and Artisan Stories

• Exploring the local handicraft market provides a deeper understanding of Fijian cultural craftsmanship from diverse village communities.
• Discover authentic wood carvings, mat weavings, artwork paintings, locally designed clothing, and handmade coconut jewellery.
• Your guide will introduce you to the traditional cloth-making process called Masi, crafted from the bark of the paper mulberry tree (Broussonetia papyrifera), also known as Tapa cloth in Fiji. Masi is made exclusively by women and holds cultural significance. Your guide will also explain how our national airline got its traditional logo design and what it represents and means to us Fijians.
• In this enriching experience, you will connect with local artisans, hear their stories, and learn about the preparation and sale of each item. You will also uncover essential artifacts reflecting Fijian culture.

Day 04

Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple and Indo-Fijian Heritage

• Visit the largest Hindu Indian temple in the southern hemisphere, showcasing a rare architectural style seldom seen outside India.
• Inside, discover sacred statues crafted by artisans brought from India.
• The tour also sheds light on the initial indentured labour system that brought the first Indian workers to Fiji for cotton and sugarcane farms.
• Delight in Indian sweet delicacies paired with masala tea and engage in conversations with local priests about each sub-temple's functions.
• Gain insights into Hindu culture and traditions, and witness the creation of delectable dishes as you chat with local priests and chefs. Don't miss this unique opportunity.

Day 05

Jack's Fiji and Corner Restaurant Finale

• We'll wrap up our tour at Jack's Fiji and the Corner Restaurant, a delightful and cosy spot perfect for relaxing and unwinding.
• Here, you'll find a selection of small, travel-friendly treasures, including my favourite, locally made Fijian Chocolates and other savouries.
• The Corner Restaurant serves various local Fijian favourite dishes and refreshing beverages. It's the perfect place to enjoy a local beer before returning to your hotel. All taxis and local public buses are also available outside this location.
• This is also where our tour ends.
• I'd be happy to give you tips and insights on other recommended experiences as well.
