10-Day West Madagascar Tour with Tsiribihina River and Baobab Sunset

• You will be picked up from the airport and checked in at the hotel.
• Your guide will take you on a tour of the City of Thousands, Antananarivo, known for its traditional houses, the Queen's Palace, and Independence Avenue.
• In the afternoon, visit historical sites such as the Rova d'Ambohimanga, Ambohidrabiby, and Ilafy.

• The next day, set off for Antsirabe, the capital of the Vakinankaratra region. Along Route Nationale No. 7, admire the central highlands.
• Visit the town by rickshaw, explore the large Asabotsy market, and see the old colonial buildings.
• In the afternoon, discover Lake Andraikiba and Lake Tritriva, then check into your hotel in Antsirabe in the evening.

• During your third day of sightseeing in western Madagascar, make your way to Miandrivazo after your stay in Antsirabe. This town serves as a stopover point before embarking on a river adventure along the Tsiribihina River. The journey from Antsirabe to Miandrivazo consists of a 220 km drive through a semi-desert golden savannah.
• Upon arrival in Miandrivazo, take a stroll over the heights of the town and the Mahajilo River before checking in at your hotel and enjoying dinner.

• The following day, set off for Masiakampy, the starting point for the 137 km descent of the Tsiribihina River by pirogue. Experience an exceptional adventure amid spectacular nature with endemic flora and fauna. Enjoy changing landscapes, towering cliffs, and a swim at the Anosiampela waterfall.
• End the day camping in a festive atmosphere with the pirogue team.

• To explore Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park, head for Bekopaka, the first stopover 110 km away. You will need an off-road vehicle to reach it.
• Once you arrive, admire the limestone cathedrals, explore the karst landscape, and observe the endemic flora and fauna, including lemurs. After a day of exploration, spend the night at the guesthouse.

• The next day, leave Bekopaka for Morondava, the baobab capital. Travel by 4x4 over 240 km of sandy track, crossing the Manambolo and Tsiribihina rivers by ferry. Admire the varied landscapes and meet the friendly locals.
• Stop off at Belo sur Tsiribihina before heading for Morondava, where you can experience the magic of the sunset over the Allée des Baobabs and relax at the hotel.

• The next day, visit Kirindy Mitea National Park, classified by UNESCO as a RAMSAR site and biosphere reserve. Discover its unique biodiversity, with dense dry forests, a brackish lake, and endemic species.
• In the afternoon, explore the village or relax at your hotel in Kirindy.

• Return to Belo sur Tsiribihina and Morondava the following day via National Road No. 38 and No. 8.
• Arrive in Morondava in the late afternoon and spend the night in a hotel before returning to the capital.

• The day before you leave for the capital, return via Route Nationale No. 34 through Miandrivazo and Antsirabe. Your guide will stop at craft markets for souvenirs before you check into your hotel in Antananarivo.
