Its architecture reflects the Hindu and Muslim domestic styles that were popular in India. The remarkable preservation of these original spaces allows modern archaeologists to reconstruct scenes of Mughal court life and better understand the hierarchy of the city's royal and noble residents. The site is accessed through gates along the 8 km-long fort wall.
